Original Textile Art Picture from Fabric Scraps- "The Lake of Peace"

This is a truly unique piece of textile art for your home or a gift to someone special. It has been handmade from fabric waste – a tiny fabric scraps that were saved by me first, but by buying one of my pictures, you also help to keep them of the landfill for longer. It’s worth to remember that “Waste is not a waste until we waste it“ (Will.I.Am).

Description:

This is a truly unique piece of textile art for your home or a gift to someone special. It has been handmade from fabric waste – a tiny fabric scraps that were saved by me first, but by buying one of my pictures, you also help to keep them of the landfill for longer. It’s worth to remember that “Waste is not a waste until we waste it“ (Will.I.Am).

A picture in memory of a trip to Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor, Somerset, England. The ducks detail are from Newquay – Cornwall.

To make this, I’ve layered fabrics scraps with differing colours, patterns and textures, and used a technique called free motion machine embroidery to secure them all in place. Please note that any frayed edges are part of the design.

The artwork is signed by myself and comes with Gold Wooden Vintage Frame and Authenticity Certificate. The Frame is used, bought in Charity Shop.

Artwork size 6″ x 8″

Picture dimension with frame:

Height: 13,5”

Width: 11,5”

This picture is a part of my first collection called “Places”. It consists of 6 pictures and its creation was my way to travel in pandemic. Every picture shows one of the places that stuck in my memory since I have visited it and I have fond memories related to it.
Please visit my shop to look at other pieces of textile art I’ve created.
